The Mood-Food Connection

Hello my dear readers!!!!! I wish you all well.

I wanted to share about something interesting today. Something that we all live for, enjoy and crave. Most of us are even passionate about it. Its a hobby to one and a profession for another. It is a story to one, a stressbuster to another. It is FOOD.

Wow!!! the word itself transponds us to a beautiful imagination of holding our favourite dish with utmost care and enjoying it with full senses. And imagine someone entering our world and disturbing the mood. ha ha ha :)

The connection between MOOD and FOOD is profound. Yes. No joke. The food we consume can either energies us or leave us feeling sluggish and can even influence our emotions.

For most of us, a nice freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea gives a kick start to our mornings. Now imagine that smell of the coffee/ tea u had this morning. You just swallowed it right!!!! ;) Our imaginations are so powerful that it makes us "live in the moment".

Foods like the spicy ones. Be it our regular pickles, kimchi, thai curry  etc., are more than flavour explosion. They contain capsaicin, a compound known to trigger endorphins- the brains natural feel good chemicals.

Feeling low or sad ? Grab a spoon and dive into your favorite flavour of ice cream. This will actually cheer you up! When we eat ice-cream our body produces Serotonin, a feel-good hormone, that actually makes us feel happy.

Eating a bowl full of protein packed food after a powerful exercise routine would make us full and satisfied from inside. But in reality that bowl might only be filled with greens. Its all about the mood

I have had many personal stories that i can totally relate. We tend to find comfort and relief with food. Am sure you have such beautiful, memorable stories too.

Share your comfort food stories with me. I would love to hear it. Explore new tastes, savor the sensory experience of food, and let it nourish not only your body but your creative spirit too.

Until next time !!!! Stay happy and healthy :)

Anticipation and the Power of Patience: Chess and Life

Dear Loyal Readers, hope you enjoy the new post.   In the grand theatre of life, we play different roles. Some approach life like a chess game while others as checkers. But what if I tell you that life has much to teach us through the subtle art of anticipation and the incredible power of patience?   A chessboard, the battlefield of the thoughtful and strategic. Chess masters don't just move pieces; they anticipate their opponent's moves, think several steps ahead, and strategically position their knights, bishops, and rooks. Life, too, offers us this grand opportunity to anticipate the consequences of our actions. In life's chessboard, thinking ahead means setting long-term goals, making choices that align with your vision, and playing a game of strategy rather than impulsivity. It's not about immediate gratification but about a thoughtful approach to every decision. Now, let’s talk about patience, the unsung hero of both chess and life. In chess, every move is a...

Commando

Hello, my dear Loyal Readers. It's been a long time since I posted a new topic. I've been waiting for inspiration, and finally, I know what to write and share. Dear Readers, "Commando" as we know are a group, statistically, strategically, trained under various circumstances and situations to make sudden moves to attack and protect. Being a commando is more than just living life. Some of you might immediately agree, saying 'oh yeah, true, yes.' It's more than a thought; it's an expression. The life a commando lives is beyond imagination; it's almost like being reincarnated. Beyond death, there is nothing to be afraid of. The vigorous screening tests they undergo and the limits they set are things we can learn from. I'm not implying their training; my point is, if their job is to safeguard the nation, why not safeguard ourselves and those around us?                  I...

The Echo Chamber Effect

Dear Loyal Readers, I trust this message finds you well during this festive season, celebrating the triumph of good over evil. As we revel in the joyous moments, I  bring forth this blog with a profound purpose — to shed light on the magnificent, technologically-driven world we inhabit, where the entirety of human knowledge lies at our fingertips. We stand at the nexus of information, both as contributors and consumers. However, consider the implications of malevolent actors misusing this vast sea of information. A single falsehood has the potential to turn your world upside down, casting shadows on the very fabric of our existence. The adage "Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth" resonates more profoundly than ever. This isn't just a clever turn of phrase; it's a chilling reality that we often underestimate. The power of repetition in shaping our perception is a force to be reckoned with. Consider the insidious influence of media propaganda, wher...
